Jak Crawford’s Future Looks Bright
Young Jak Crawford is positioned better than any other USA driver to be the next American star in Formula One.
The Houston, Texan is placed in the right spot at the right time.
Racing was born in Jak’s blood, not so much from his parents own speed pursuits, but from his 2005 birthplace in Charlotte, North Carolina, home to NASCAR. Visiting race shops and attending NASCAR events played a role in Jak’s early racing interests.
Once settled in Texas, Jak began karting at the age of six and worked his way from a local club kart track in Katy, Texas…
…to regional racing…
…to national racing…
…to international racing, with much success at every level. Along the way, Jak succeeded at quarter-midgets and Legends Car racing, before deciding at the age of 13 to fully pursue a Formula One path.
Jak had four productive years based in Europe as Red Bull F1 Team’s Junior driver from 2020-2023, racing in Italian and German F4, EuroFormula Open, FIA F3, and FIA F2.
A new F1 team, Aston Martin Aramco signed Jak late in 2023 and promoted him as its sole 2024/2025 young driver with F1 responsibilities including reserve, testing, and simulation driver duties in F1 equipment.
